Drakenrose: I really love this manga. The fun about watching the anime and then reading the manga afterwards is that you can tell every thing that got edited or changed. In this case, there's some things that are exactly the same (around volumes 4-7), but in the beggining and of-course-ly at the end of the anime, from the manga's POV, it's almost the complete opposite. I even thought there were so many unnecessary changes in the anime... They all made you think Ootani didn't like Risa not even a little at first, but in the manga it's not that rude. Of course, the las two characters(Mimi and Kotoharu)'s introductions doesn't seem as forced and fast as it did on the anime either. I think that in the manga, they actually don't bother you, but in the anime you can't help but think they just "suddenly appeared" and that kinda upsets you. They look like last-minute additions even if they're not.
Not to mention the manga's better explanation of the story... But that's just "D'uh", isn't it?
